Description The Director of Strategic Projects and Initiatives will have ownership of multiple key programs designed to strengthen the Midas brand. This position will direct, create and implement tire related projects, credit culture, the Midas process, and many other essential programs. These new programs will be designed to establish Midas as a full vehicle automotive service destination. This industry expert will be the primary contact between corporate services, Midas field staff, and franchisee network for all key projects. Role responsibilities include strategic planning; managing stakeholders, project scope, communications, resources, finance, promotions, change requests, procurement, risk, IT, quality, project schedule, field deployment, vendors and business continuity. Job Responsibilities Develop and manage projects related to transacting tire business from charter to close Articulate purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, budgets, and measures of success Elevate the credit performance within the Midas system from 7% to +15% in year one. Develop and own the Midas process program system wide Partner with data group to establish appropriate KPI’s Midas Tires NOW Program Track, monitor, and facilitate franchisee adoption rates TBC Logistics/NTW Communicate and Coordinate Midas Service Expectations Midas Tire Rewards Coordinate support staff to execute Midas Tires Online Coordinate cross functional team Midas Tire Center - Multiple improvement projects to Improve sales process and ease of business transactions Tire Connect Tracking/Financing Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail business, project management, cross functional team leadership and technology. Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or wholesale business specific to Tire and Auto Service industry Experience leading field-released projects including interfacing directly with customers and prioritizing issues and enhancements Experience leading projects in multiple technology platforms, functions, and industries Knowledge of Project Management processes and tools Experience with geographically distributed customers and vendors Experience managing across organizational boundaries internally and externally Experience with customer facing and customer issue resolution Aptitude for business analytics related to tire and auto service industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Acute attention to detail Consummate professionalism, excellent business etiquette and strong leadership presence Ability to work with executive leadership of franchise and vendor organizations and quickly earn their trust and confidence Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Cognos and Project Benefits Competitive compensation and bonus Tuition reimbursement 401k plan with a company match.
