Job Description


The Retail Pricing & Merchandising Analyst leverages knowledge of competitive retail tire markets across the country, to develop sound product, pricing and inventory stocking strategies that support TBC Retail Group’s initiatives.  Works with the Director Tire Products & Services, fellow Retail Pricing & Merchandising Analysts, Field Management, Franchise Business Consultants, Customer Service, Individual Franchisees and/or Store Managers to implement said strategies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Research and analysis of retail tire markets across the continental U.S.

  • Develop product and pricing strategies tailored to meet the needs of assigned markets.

  • Develops inventory stocking recommendations based on market potential, industry trends, profitability, capacity and compliance.

  • Attend monthly meetings to provide updates related to product and programs, some travel required.

  • Support Franchise Business Consultants during seasonal ordering periods.

  • Two (2) years tire retail store experience; other automotive/tire industry related experience.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.  Experience with databases (SQL, Microsoft Access) is a plus.

  • Excellent research, diagnostic, analytical and decision making skills.

  • Must be able to handle complaints and overcome objections.  Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work successfully with a collaborative team environment, to meet productivity objectives within strict deadlines.

  • Clear internal motivation and desire to go above and beyond, to achieve departmental goals.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative related field (Finance, Business Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public.  Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
