Privacy Policy

What we collect

Candidates — name, phone number, email address, availability preferences, and the details you enter when applying for a position through the platform.

Employers — company name, contact email, billing information (handled by Stripe — we never store raw card numbers), and job posting details.

Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically when you use the platform.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to:

  • Match candidates to open positions at tire shops
  • Send SMS messages about interview scheduling and booking confirmations (via Twilio)
  • Process subscription payments and send billing receipts
  • Respond to support requests
  • Improve the platform — we analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to understand what works

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We work with a small number of trusted service providers who help us run the platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Your billing details go directly to Stripe under their privacy policy.
  • Twilio — SMS delivery for candidate booking links and notifications.
  • Supabase — our database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored in their managed Postgres service.

Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement. We do not share your data with anyone else unless required by law.

Text messages (SMS)

When you apply, you can opt in to text messages using two separate checkboxes on the application form: one for transactional messages about your application, and one for marketing and promotional messages. Neither box is pre-checked, neither is required to apply, and they are independent — you can check either, both, or neither. We only send a type of text to candidates who opted in to that type.

If you opt in to transactional texts, we send messages about interview scheduling, booking confirmations, reminders, and updates about your application. If you also opt in to marketing texts, we may send occasional promotional messages, such as special offers and updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

We do not share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only party that handles your number for texting is Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, and only to send the messages described above.

Google Calendar connection

A shop owner can choose to connect their Google Calendar so that candidate calls are only offered at times they are free, and so a booked interview lands on their calendar. This connection is optional and is never required to use Tire Careers.

  • We ask Google for two permissions: read your free and busy times, and create or remove the interview events we book.
  • To find free times we use the Google free/busy lookup. It tells us only when you are busy. We never read event titles, descriptions, attendees, locations or any other event content.
  • We store one encrypted refresh token per shop so we can keep the connection alive. We do not store, copy or index your calendar.
  • When you disconnect, the token is deleted right away and the app stops reading your calendar. Interviews already on your calendar stay there because they are yours.
  • Google calendar data is used only to offer and book interview times. It is never used for advertising, never sold, never shared with any other party, and never used to train any machine learning or artificial intelligence model.

Tire Careers' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we protect your data

  • Everything travels over HTTPS (TLS). There is no unencrypted path into or out of the platform.
  • Data is stored in a managed Postgres database that is encrypted at rest. Sensitive secrets such as the Google Calendar refresh token are additionally encrypted by the application with a key that lives only on our servers, never in the database or the browser.
  • Access is limited by row level security: a shop can only ever read its own candidates, jobs and connections. Secrets tables are readable only by the server, never by a signed-in user.
  • Payment card details never touch our servers. They go directly to Stripe.
  • We keep only what the feature needs, and we delete it when it is no longer needed, as described under Data retention.

AI and Google Limited Use

Tire Careers uses an AI model to help with tasks such as drafting a job post, screening an application, and reading a candidate's text reply when they pick an interview time. Our model provider is Anthropic, reached directly through its commercial API, which does not use customer inputs or outputs to train its models. We do not use any other AI provider, gateway or aggregator.

  • No data received from Google APIs is sent to any AI model. The free/busy times we read from your calendar are used only to work out which interview slots are open.
  • The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular we never use, transfer or sell that data to build, train or improve any generalized machine learning or artificial intelligence model.
  • Candidate and shop data we process with AI is used only to provide the feature in front of you, and is never used to train a model.

Data retention

Candidate profiles are deleted after 2 years of inactivity. Shop owner accounts and associated data are retained for as long as the account is active, and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Email us and we will respond within 14 days.
